Perhaps the app has global registry settings as wellĪs user specific registry settings. However settings can be altered by any user using the app.

Including whatever key may have been necessary to enter to get the application to run initially if such was required. To remove an application and I would guess probably numerous other things. I believe there's more to installing an application on a system from a backup then just getting some registry settings and files and setting those on a system.ĪFAIK doing that will not provide the OS with all information to know about the application with regard to alot of different things including but not limited to file extension associations, remove application information shown in Control Panel if you want So rather than blowing smoke up your kazoo and tell you your great or whatever I just let the facts fall where they may and provide that input.
